WW2DoverKWHappening History was originally formed in 2004 as ‘Discovering Medieval’ by husband and wife team, Paul & Karen Hamilton-Viall.  We wanted to create fun and interactive displays for schools and historic sites where people could see, touch and smell the past and become truly interactive with it.  We both have a passion for history and wanted to prove to others how interesting history can be.

Our displays have proved very popular and we have now moved forward in time to include displays on 18th C crime, WW1 & the 1940s Home Front so a change of name seemed appropriate.

Imagine being able to meet a knight and try on armour, meet live leeches, make butter the way your ancestors would have done, undergo a trial, or try out a real 1940s bomb shelter.  These are just some of the experiences available from Happening History.

We have public liability insurance up to 5 million pounds, we regularly renew our DBS (Formerly CRB) Disclosures for our self and our staff (which are available on request) and we have risk assessments for all our workshops & displays which are kept constantly up to date.
