Testimonials

Here is what some of our clients have said about us over the last decade:

Wyndcliffe Primary School – KS1 Castles
‘Thank you so much for a fantastic workshop! It was lovely to see all the children engaged and eager to share with other members of staff what they had learnt. It was my third time participating in the workshop and each time I learnt something new.’

Sir William Perkins’s School – Head of History – WW2 Homefront workshop
‘We have been inviting Happening History, Karen and Wel into our school for years, and I do so each year with absolutely no hesitation!  Their attention to detail, strong performance, enthusiasm and knowledge really do bring the WW2 Homefront to life.  Our students also benefit from the ability to get their hands on a wide range of artefacts each time they come, it is like a mini museum popping up in our hall. I would unreservedly recommend them. ‘

Dragon School Oxford – Head of Classics – about our KS3 medieval life workshop:
‘Absolutely fantastic day, thank you!  From my experience of this group, you had the pupils completely immersed and experiencing history in a very different way; so stimulating for them.  They were really into their auditions for membership to the guild!  All the teachers who were sitting in commented on how engaged the pupils were.  Fantastic morning.

Thank you for organising such an immersive experience for them to engage with; huge thought had clearly gone into it and it made the whole thing seem completely effortless.’

Parkfields Middle School, 2015 –  about our KS3 medieval life workshop:
‘From the detailed information during the booking process to the authentic costumes, props, armour and story; the session was extremely enjoyable as well as very educational.  You have a perfect recipe to engage and teach about medieval life.  I highly recommend Happening History and would go so far as to say they are the best education group we have used.’

The children greatly enjoyed the presentations and learned much from your presence. This is a tribute to your expertise and knowledge. Your attention to detail was most impressive and the children learnt a huge amount about life in the middle ages. I look forward to you returning next year.’ – Head of History, Kings School

‘Happening History are an extremely professional, knowledgeable and entertaining company.  They are a pleasure to work with and their enthusiasm and passion for their subject matter shines through in their work.  School children of all ages love their engaging hands on education sessions and their displays for our visitors are just as popular.  Happening History certainly know how to bring history to life.’Bodiam Castle, National Trust (we ran school displays and displays for members of the public at Bodiam)
